Music streaming service Spotify has overhauled its Android app with a brand new look and a slew of new features. Firstly, the app's been redesigned with support for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and it's clear the developers have borrowed a little of Google's ICS design language for their new app. Facebook-style slide-out navigation is included, replacing the menu key based navigation of old. And high-resolution cover art and high-quality (320kbps) streaming have also been added, along with performance improvements throughout the app.
Spotify promises more features, including Last FM scrobbling and folder support, before the new version is finalized. Note that to try out the new app, you'll need to be signed up for a Spotify Premium subscription, and as it's a stand-alone apk file, you'll need to enable unknown sources to install it.
