Police are trying to track down a man they say tried to rape a woman over the weekend, at about about 3a.m. Sunday.Surveillance video shows the man following a 35-year-old woman into her Washington Heights apartment complex. A fight then breaks out and the woman is able to push off the attacker. Video shows him then running out of the building.
He is described as 20-25 years old, 5'10, and either a black or Hispanic man.Anyone with any information is urged to call CrimeStoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. Tipsters can also submit information at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting CRIMES (274637) then entering TIP577.
