BestBuy.com has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, E-Commerce Creative Services in our Richfield, MN location. Reporting to the Director, Creative Services & Digital Content, the Creative Services Manager leads the creative team in the fast-paced growth area of Best Buy.
Role Summary:
The E-Commerce Creative Services Manager will lead a team of web Project Managers and guiding day-to-day work of Designers, Writers, Copy Editors and Developers to effectively and efficiently produce content and projects for BestBuy.com. Throughout the organization, the Creative Services Manager represents and advocates for the online user experience perspective for the day-to-day content creation for BestBuy.com. S/he works closely with both the business and web functional groups and peers to identify and implement web content projects, process changes, improvements and efficiencies and ensure solid creative practice.
- Act as a liaison with the Web Property Managers, Planners, UX and Creative Services teams; solving issues, negotiating and driving positive relationships.
- Cross-functional liaison between other US Web capabilities (Operations, Order management, product teams) as well as enterprise marketing and category teams.
- Analyze content/project trends to determine where overlap/redundancies are occurring; seek to understand and solve for overlaps.
- Responsible for capacity management.
- Analyze weekly resourcing needs and prepare forecasts.
- Responsible for the hiring of new employees and contractors as well as onboarding.
- Recommend cost/process/quality improvements.
- Breaks down silos and addresses issues with a broad, cross-functional perspective rather than from a strict functional specialist perspective.
- Use data to drive decisions and site designs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Business, Graphic Design, Information Architecture, Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Human Computer Interaction, Instructional or Graphic Design, related field or equivalent experience.
- 3 or more years Internet / e-commerce experience.
- 3 or more years business experience, preferably in a retail environment.
- 3 or more years project management experience or managing large scale teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability to formally present and articulate ideas effectively to internal team members and cross-functional business owners.
- Proven history of building effective teams, developing teams and improving processes.
- Working knowledge of the end-to-end web production cycle.
- Leverage data or analytics to drive decisions and site design.
- Master's degree.
